House Rules

1.Credits Each Growing Giraffe Toy Library product is given a certain number of credits based on the price and durability. As per your chosen plan, you get a certain number of credits for the mentioned duration. The use of these credits is limited to a maximum of the monthly permissible limit as per your chosen plan. Any balance credits will be carried forward till the end of the plan. On the expiry of the plan, the balance credits will be carried forward in case of immediate renewal of subscription. The maximum number of credits that you can use per month, however, remains unchanged. You are also given a provision of buying additional credits.


2.Damages or Loss
The amount of damage fee will be decided as per our policy. We request all our members to check the toys and books at the time of delivery. You can refuse to accept any toys/books in case you notice damage. We will replace the same soon.
In case of damage or loss caused by you, you will be charged a replacement cost of upto 80% of the mrp. The cost of replacement will be the sole discretion of the Growing Giraffe Toy Library. The damages against any toys/books will be recovered on a monthly basis and you will be expected to replenish the deducted amount to maintain the deposit.


3.Change of delivery date
Change of delivery date is possible at an added cost.


4.Milestone Card
The Milestone Card is an AI based card generated on the basis of the inputs provided by you at the time of registration and the toys/books chosen by you enroute your journey with Growing Giraffe.


5.Extended use of Toys
You can inform us a week before your next scheduled delivery if you wish to keep a toy/book for an extended period of time. We will adjust the same with your balance credits.


6.Delivery
We offer free delivery as per our schedule. We deliver on the 1st, 8th, 15th and 22nd of each month. All order confirmations received 2 days before the above mentioned dates will be delivered as per your monthly cycle. The rest will be delivered on the next delivery date. In case these dates fall on a public holiday, the delivery would take place on the next working day. For e.g. If you place your order on the 7th, the delivery of the same would happen on the 15th of that month.


7.Plans
We have quarterly, half yearly and annual plans. Please look up on our Plans page for more details.



8.Cart
CART is a space where the toys/books that you select will appear.


9.Wishlist
Wishlist is a space where you can keep the toys that you like for future rentals. You can wishlist items that you like but are currently out of circulation. We will notify you when that particular item is available for renting.


10.Payments
We accept the payment methods set out below.

11.Toy Care
Please make sure that your child maintains the basic hygiene while using the toys and books. We would appreciate your mindfulness in cleaning/washing the toys before returning them to us.


12.Safety Disclaimer
While we take utmost care in choosing our products, as a parent, we expect you to be the best judge of what kinds of toys/books are safe and suitable for your child. Growing Giraffe shall not be held responsible for any injury or harm our products might cause the child.


13.Code of Ethics
We expect all our members to maintain a basic code of ethics while communicating with us or posting comments on our website. Do not use any derogatory, defamatory or obscene language, remarks or emojis.


14.Registration Fee
It's a one time fee that you pay to become a member of our library. On 12 months of inactivity, an amount of Rs. 300 will be charged for reactivation. You cannot take a break in an active plan.


15.Subscription Fee
This is the fee that you pay as per your chosen toy rental plan. Once paid, the subscription fee will not be refundable.


16.Security Deposit
This is a fully refundable amount that you pay as security. At the end of your membership, the entire amount of the Security Deposit will be refunded to you after deducting the damages/loss if any. The damages against any toys/books will be recovered on a monthly basis and you will be expected to replenish the deducted amount to maintain the deposit. The amount of Security Deposit will be refunded within 7 working days of the termination of the plan.


17.Late Fee
In case you miss the return/exchange of the toys/books the same number of credits assigned to the products will be deducted from your account balance. In case of expiry of plan, if you fail to return the products on the scheduled pick up date, you need to deliver the products at our shipping address within 3 days and intimate us. Failing to do so, the cost of the items would be recovered from you after adjusting your deposit.


18.Booking Toys
You can book the toys/books 4 days before your end of cycle. We will give you a reminder 4 days prior to your scheduled date. In case you forget to book before 12:00 pm, 2 days before your scheduled delivery date, the credits from your next cycle will be adjusted in lieu of the toys/books that you already have.The products will be booked subject to its availability.


19.Reminders
You will receive a reminder from Growing Giraffe 4 days in advance before your scheduled date to return the toys via your chosen way of communication.


20.Additional Delivery charge
Each additional delivery can be made available at an extra charge based on individual cases.


21.Gift Cards
Gift cards can be redeemed within 6 months of the date of issue.


22.Refunds
Please click on the ‘Refund’ button on your account page. You will need to fill a short form after which we will return your security deposit within 7 working days. Any balance due/damages to the toys or books will be deducted from your deposit. Please note that the balance from your membership plans for any unused credits will not be refunded.

24.Termination / Cancellation
In case of non adherence of any of the terms mentioned above Growing Giraffe holds complete and non negotiable right to terminate your membership. Growing Giraffe will not be liable to refund the Security Deposit in such a case.


25.Return & Refund
There is no provision for cancellation of an ongoing plan. If you wish to cancel the subscription going forward, you can log into your account and claim refund of your security deposit. Please click on the ‘Refund’ button on your account page. You will need to fill a short form after which we will return your security deposit within 7 working days. Any balance due/damages to the toys or books will be deducted from your deposit. Please note that the balance from your membership plans for any unused credits will not be refunded.


Via Schools


26.Delivery
Deliveries and pick up of toys/books for customers registering via the schools will happen at the school premises itself on the dates as discussed with the school.


27.Damages
We shall check the goods once they arrive back at our warehouse. In case of any damages, we shall get in touch with you.
